Points are assessed as follows:
Violation Points
DUI 8
Extreme DUI 8
Reckless Driving 8
Aggressive Driving 8
Leaving the scene of accident, hit-and-run 6
Failure to stop for a traffic signal, stop sign or to yield the right-of-way causing death 4
Failure to stop for a traffic signal, stop sign or to yield the right-of-way causing serious injury 4
Speeding 3
Driving over or parking in a gore area 3
All other moving violations 2

Reason you will need to attend a traffic survival school:
  1. Convicted of Moving Violation while under 18 years of age
  2. You have accumulated 8 to 12 points
  3. Your Driving privilege suspended for 6 months
  4. Convicted of red light violation. If you decide to pay your ticket or not eligible and do not attend a defensive driving school
  5. Convicted of aggressive driving
  6. Failed to complete TSS indefinite
  7. Any DUI
